Medieval cuisine workshops conducted by the Lębork Historical Brotherhood take place in tower 32, restored with EU funds. Up to 15 people can participate in the workshops at the same time. Using replicas of historical dishes and old recipes, under the supervision of an instructor, the participants prepare dishes from the period on their own, learning many interesting facts about medieval cuisine, household, customs and techniques used at that time. Workshops are a great opportunity to learn about unusual, often forgotten dishes, ingredients and recipes that can also be used for dinner, so as to surprise the household and guests with an original dish. A variant of the old kitchen workshops are “Tastes of the Middle Ages”. It is an open-air event that can be held outside Lębork using a medieval field kitchen and replicas of historical vessels.
