About the Association
The association of communes “Polish gothic castles” was established in 1997. The Association was created due to the belief that the promotion of a single castle will not be as effective as the promotion of many facilities within one common route – the Gothic Castles Trail. The activities of the organization are aimed at Polish and foreign tourists interested in getting to know the tourist offer of the castles of the former Teutonic State. It is important that not only tourists, but also residents of the municipalities of the Gothic Castles Trail, should know the story of their place of residence.
The Association pursues its objectives by:
- promotional and information publications about Castles
- marking of communes belonging to the Association with information boards (Gothic Castles Trail) and road signs E-22a – Gothic castles – tourist trail
- organization of a knowledge competition about Gothic castles for students – residents of the Association’s member communes
- participation in Polish and foreign tourist fairs
- creation of year-round tourist products based on the cultural and tourist potential of the Gothic Castle Trail, properly prepared for sale with a partnership of entrepreneurs, local tourist organizations, museums
