Medieval Fair on St. James

The fair takes place in the area of the castle, zwinger and the park behind the Kętrzyn Castle. During the Fair, you can see the work of a blacksmith, take part in workshops presenting the former cuisine. The pottery workshop will allow you to learn about various techniques of molding dishes, while at the papermaker you can make handmade paper, and then use a quill pen to write your name on it. There are coin minting demonstrations, workshops: foundry, weaving, dyeing, leather processing, plaiting and turning. The knightly associations of Masuria are camped at the castle. During the Fair in the castle courtyard, songs, stories, fairy tales and legends from all over the world resound. Evening concerts and performances also bring the atmosphere of medieval celebrations closer.
