Secrets of Old Ostróda

The cycle of walks around Ostróda under the common title “Secrets of the Old Ostróda” takes into account different periods of the city’s development and its history. During the walk, we will visit the most interesting places and tell extraordinary stories about them. You will learn, among other things, about the castle built by The Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem, about the first Coco Chanel fashion show in Prussia, about Buddhism, which came to Europe thanks to an Ostróda inhabitant. As part of the joint project “Secrets of Old Ostróda”, you can choose one of the thematic routes: 1. Ostróda over the centuries, 2. Military Ostróda, 3. Famous and unknown Ostróda, 4. Ostróda in the 19th century – railway and canal, 5. Ostróda at the meeting point of cultures, 6. Ostróda villas and townhouses.
