The festival began writing its history in 2013. The event has an educational and entertaining character. Its goal is to revive history and bring as close as possible to a wide audience – especially families with children. Fencing, dance and theater performances, professional lectures, music recitals, falconers and caukliers, interactive games, a shooting range, craft stalls – all of this created an unmistakable atmosphere in the wonderful surroundings of the Devín Castle during the festival. The culmination of each event is a show with horses – whether it is a knightly tournament from the Middle Ages or the Renaissance, a Hungarian-Turkish tournament, demonstrations of Roman cavalry or cavalry and infantry encounters from the period of the 30 Years War – everything is inspired by the events and customs of a particular time.
