The two-day program of the event always has a predictable date – it is the Saturday and Sunday closest to August 20. Participants in the event are Hungarian and foreign settlements, which introduce visitors to their past and present. In the tents of the representatives of the settlements exhibitions are arranged, traditional folk dances are presented. The location of the event, i.e. a park in the centre of the city, is decorated with the tents of the craftsmen working there, so that the visitor feels as if he or she was from times past, before the conquest of the settlements by foreign invaders follows. There are demonstrations of ancient crafts, archery tournaments, horse shows, old cuisine, puppet theatres, open-air fairs, dance events, handicrafts organised at that time.
