At the end of October, as part of project PR/1/008/2018 mon. ‘Tourism beyond the boundaries – tourism routes of the cross-border regions of Russia and North-East Poland’ in Warmia and Mazury, Pomerania and Powiśle were set up 15 information boards. “A trail of castles and fortifications”. The plaques depict castles located in Poland (Bytów, Lębork, Człuchów, Malbork, Sztum, Gniew, Kwidzyn, Nowe, Ostróda, Nidzica, Działdowo, Olsztyn, Lidzbark Warmiński, Kętrzyn, Ryn) and castles and fortifications located in the Kaliningrad Region of the Russian Federation (kaliningrad defensive fortifications, Fort 11/Kaliningrad, Fort 5/Kaliningrad, Schaaken/Niekrasowo Castle in Guriewsk District, Waldau/Nizowje Castle in Guriewsk District, Insterburg/Chernivtsi Castle, Georgenburg/Majowka Castle in Chernihivsk District, Tapiau/Gwardiejsk Castle).
Plaques have been set up in city centres, near castles or other tourist facilities.
