28-30 October on the route: Malbork-Kwidzyn-Gniew as part of project Pr/1/008/2018 Mon. ‘Tourism beyond the boundaries – tourism routes of the cross-border regions of Russia and North-East Poland’ held the first meeting of cultural and tourism workers from Poland and kaliningrad region, which was attended by 22 people representing: project partners, castles and museums, tourist information points, tourist guides, NGOs, from the Pomeranian, Warmia and Mazury provinces, Kaliningrad Region. The programme of the visit to Poland contained i.a. visiting castles with audio guide (advantages and disadvantages of such a solution for tourists); practical workshops “Tourism and guide service” (work ethic of the tourist guide, whether the guide can affect the attractiveness of the place, presentation of techniques for passing on knowledge to tourists); practical workshops “Employees of historians, or how to make a good reconstruction” (are historical reconstructions historical?, can reconstruction groups act as cultural ones?, different types – techniques for organizing reconstructions, creating artifacts for historical reconstruction, reproduction of certain human groups, stagings, reconstructions, participants in historical reconstructions). All meetings took place within the Gothic walls of castles in Malbork, Kwidzyn, Gniew.
